Oak + Bean

Oak + Bean is a locally owned coffee and wine bar based in Oswego, Illinois. The shop places an emphasis on supporting the community, hosting local events and building a strong community within the space.

Oak + Bean has such an energetic feel when you are there. Employees who clearly love working together, large glass windows facing the busy Oswego roads, community focused events that bring in local businesses. When it came time to rebrand their social media presence, me and the other designer knew that community should be the center of what makes the social media.

With coffee shops blowing up on Instagram and TikTok, we tried to make the social media feel like a place the viewer felt welcome at. Engaging photography, and comforting typographic choices. We have also begun engaging with the employees to create social media reels to drive engement.

Analytics from my 6 months there:
- 288K views all organic (+100%)

- 31.3K reach (+542.7%)

- 4.2K interactions (+100%)

- 6.6K profile visits
